I was listening to a song called Välijokki, by Yana Mangi. It was an interesting experience. Feel free to check it out!

She's from a place called Kiruna, in northern Sweden. I've never been there myself, but it's supposedly very beautiful. It sounds very different from where I live, it's almost like an entirely different country!

So while listening to this piece, I decided to draw something...exotic. To me, at least. I enjoy not filling in the blanks sometimes, to make it a more personal piece for the viewer.

By using a black background as a base I felt I could create some interesting lighting and that "surreal" effect I wanted, to reflect what I was listening to.
